Warranty Information
Speciality Coatings stands behind the quality of every product we manufacture. Where a system is installed by a trained approved applicator, we can offer a product warranty — because we know it has been applied correctly. Each applicator provides their own separate workmanship warranty.
Warranty Overview
Our products are manufactured to a consistent standard and are warranted to be free from defects in materials and manufacturing. Performance warranties differ by product — because performance depends not only on the product, but on how it is applied, and on the conditions it is applied in. Our project warranties are product-only and apply when the system is installed by an Approved Speciality Coatings Applicator.
S300 Warranty
The S300 system carries a 10-year product warranty when installed by an Approved Speciality Coatings Applicator and applied as part of the complete specified system. This is a product-only warranty — workmanship is warranted separately by the applicator.
- Installed by an Approved Speciality Coatings Applicator.
- A minimum of two full coats of S300 have been applied at the specified coverage rates.
- The complete specified coating system has been followed.
- The project warranty is requested within 7 days of the completed installation.
- The applicator has saved all required project information (photos, product batch numbers, application data, etc.).
- The warranty is reviewed and approved by our insurance team.
- Poor workmanship.
- Structural movement.
- Substrate failures.
- Moisture trapped beneath the coating.
- Incorrect preparation or application.
- Product misuse.
- Damage caused by third parties or severe weather events.
- Lack of maintenance.
EcoSeal Warranty
EcoSeal can carry a warranty of up to 15 years when the system is correctly specified and installed by an Approved Speciality Coatings Applicator. As with all our project warranties, correct preparation, application of the complete specified system, and approval of the project warranty are required.
Talk to us or your approved applicator about warranty eligibility for your specific project. The same conditions and exclusions that apply to our S300 warranty apply in principle to EcoSeal — the warranty is available only where the system has been installed correctly by an approved applicator, and covers the product only.
The Approved Applicator Advantage
Choosing an Approved Speciality Coatings Applicator gives you more than a finished job — it means the system has been selected and installed the way it was designed to perform, and it opens the door to project-specific warranties.
Find an approved applicator for your project, or get in touch to discuss which system is right for the job.
DIY Application
Products applied by the customer do not carry a performance warranty. This is not a reflection on the product — it is a reflection of the fact that we have no control over how it is applied.
Coating performance depends heavily on factors we cannot verify on a DIY job: whether the surface was correctly prepared, whether the substrate was sound, whether the weather and temperature were within specification during application and curing, whether the correct number of coats and coverage rates were achieved, and whether the product was stored correctly beforehand. Any one of these can cause a perfectly good product to fail.
If your project needs a warranted outcome — for example a roof you are relying on, or work that needs to satisfy a builder, insurer, or buyer — the work should be carried out by an approved applicator. They are trained on our systems, they apply them to specification, and the result is warranted accordingly.
Not sure which route is right for your job? Talk to our team — we will tell you honestly whether it is a DIY job or one for an applicator.
