Repairs & Prep

Cleaners, primers, rust treatments and reinforcing tapes — the products that make the difference between a coating that lasts and one that fails. Get the surface right, and everything you put on top of it works.

Most coating failures start with the prep, not the coating. Moss left under a topcoat, rust that keeps spreading, or a crack that was never reinforced will find their way through eventually.

Where Prep Fits

The Four Stages

Everything on this page belongs to the first three stages. Skip them, and the fourth won't hold.

Clean
Strip moss, mould, algae and dirt so the surface is sound and the coating has something to grip.
Treat & Prime
Convert rust before it spreads, and prime difficult substrates where a standard coating won't bond.
Seal & Reinforce
Tape and reinforce the joints, cracks and penetrations — the places water actually gets in.
Coat
Apply the topcoat over a properly prepared surface — and it'll do what it's supposed to do.
